Tree Houses

The Tree House Casitas are two short-term accommodations built alongside an existing house. The casitas are nestled cozily in the verdant forest, creating a magical atmosphere conducive to rest and relaxation.

The houses were designed by local architecture and construction studio, Intropic who did a masterful job only removing one tree in the construction process. The two separate dwellings share an open plan living area that facilitates connection and provides an additional outdoor setting to enjoy.

Tierra Perma was tasked with capturing the architectural essence of the project, a beautiful simplicity that creates an ambiguous edge between forest and house, where do the trees stop and the architecture begins? The project is bold in its humbleness, allowing the natural conditions and elements to shape the architectural intervention and work in symbiosis with its environment.
